Strong Pace, Tough Luck –
Renault Twingo Euro Cup at Grobnik

Back to News

Last weekend, we competed in the Renault Twingo Euro Cup at Grobnik, Croatia. It was a weekend filled with unpredictable weather, mechanical issues, and strong pace throughout.

We arrived on Thursday and completed a track walk before the action began. On Friday, we were assigned the #8 Renault Twingo and headed out for practice in heavy wet conditions. The rain suited us well, and we finished fastest in the session.

Qualifying was also held in very wet conditions, but unfortunately we suffered a major engine power loss, costing us around 6 km/h on every straight. Despite this setback, we still managed to qualify P6.

Race 1 on Saturday started perfectly. After just two laps, I had already climbed to P2, but our race came to an early end when the engine failed completely, forcing us to retire.

Starting Race 2 from P14 on Sunday, the goal was to fight back through the field. We had an incredible start and after only two laps were leading the race. I remained at the front for most of the race, but after defending into the final corner on the last lap, my rivals gained a strong slipstream onto the finish straight. We crossed the line in P4 after an intense battle.

The results may not show it, but we proved we had the speed to fight for victory all weekend long.

A huge thank you to F4 CEZ Academy and Lema Racing for making this opportunity possible.
